Prior industry experience is beneficial but not required - full training will be provided. Candidates with backgrounds in customer service, retail, or property are encouraged to apply, as these experiences translate well to this dynamic role.


Role Overview:


Position: Student Lettings Administrator
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £23,800 + bonus scheme
Working Hours: Full-time, office-based, Monday to Friday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with rotational Saturday shifts (10:00 AM - 3:00 PM), office-based
Location: Durham City Centre (fully office-based, public parking available and close to public transport links)


Core Responsibilities:



  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors.

  • Provide exceptional service and support to ensure positive tenant and landlord experiences.

  • Manage communications through phone, email, Live Chat, and WhatsApp.

  • Stay informed on lettings compliance, including conducting Right to Rent checks.

  • Handle new inquiries from tenants and landlords, advertising properties, and proactively reaching out to potential tenants.

  • Register applicants, coordinate and conduct property viewings, and provide feedback to landlords.

  • Negotiate offers between landlords and tenants.

  • Arrange and conduct viewing with tenants.

  • Support the asset management team during high-demand periods.

  • Assist with marketing events and promotional activities.


Key Qualifications and Skills:



  • Essential:


    • Strong organisational skills.

    • Excellent communication abilities.

    • Self-motivation and the capability to work autonomously.

    • Ability to manage tasks from start to finish.

    • Flexible, adaptable, and able to prioritise effectively.

    • Willingness to travel between different locations.

    • Valid driver's licence and personal vehicle (preferred).


  • Preferred:


    • Experience in the lettings or property industry.
