Overview:


An exciting opportunity join a successful online retailer in Guildford!


As a Merchandising Assistant you will be part of a dynamic Buying and Merchandising team, where you will play a key role in weekly trading preparation, seasonal planning, stock purchasing, and intake processes.


This role would suit someone who is detailed, oriented and numerate! You will be able to demonstrate strong Excel abilities!

What you will be doing:



  • Manage the intake process, coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and our warehouse.

  • Evaluate shipment suggestions and facilitate timely vessel bookings.

  • Present the Shipment Schedule at bi-weekly Cash Flow OTB meetings.

  • Raise Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and timely to meet business needs.

  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring seamless communication with suppliers and resolving issues as they arise.

  • Create the weekly Back Order Report to highlight oversells and risks.

Requirements:



  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a retail environment (ideally within a head office setting)

  • Experience in eCommerce retail (desired)

  • A relevant degree or business-related qualification (advantageous)

  • Confident communicator with exceptional organisational skills.

  • Strong numerancy and Excel Skills

  • Self-motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative environment!
