Job Title: Bid Manager


Location: Exeter


Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (flexible for the right candidate)


Hours: Monday-Friday, 08.30am-5.00pm

The Role: Our client is seeking Bid Manager to join their busy, vibrant growing team based in the South West. Working on variety of projects across the region you will be an essential part of the team in securing business opportunities by putting together bids and tenders.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Track and distribute bid opportunities to align with strategic goals across various sectors.

  • Analyse tender documentation to prioritise relevant aspects of the bid process.

  • Conduct comprehensive research on clients, projects, stakeholders, and competitors to identify winning strategies.

  • Champion the agreed strategy and ensure all team members are engaged and informed.

  • Define client requirements and deliverables while managing timelines and accountability.

  • Lead the bid programme, ensuring compliance and quality throughout the process.

  • Facilitate progress meetings and engage with external consultants for their insights.

  • Ensure legal documents are reviewed ahead of submission.

  • Manage communications regarding client tender clarifications and gather required responses.

  • Proactively write and edit compelling content, ensuring clarity and compliance.

  • Share best practises and continuously improve team performance.



What We're Looking For:



  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills.

  • Impeccable written English; adept at editing and shaping responses.

  • Ability to manage collaboration across diverse teams, including technical experts and external partners.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong commitment to stakeholder engagement and team support.

  • Positive, proactive attitude with keen attention to detail.

  • Flexibility to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

  • Professional demeanour and effective communication skills at all levels.

  • Understanding of the infrastructure environment and procurement strategies.

  • Experience in Construction and Bid writing is not essential but advantageous.
