  • Provide administrative support to the Principal or Secondary Head and other members of the senior leadership team.

  • Work closely with the Educational Support Officer to lead and support one of the following areas: Data and Assessment, Exams, or Admissions & Parental communication.

  • Undertake confidential and non-confidential administration for the Senior Leadership Team.

  • Manage internal projects on behalf of the senior leadership team.

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration.

  • Take responsibility for one specific area, such as Data & Curriculum, Exams & Assessment, or Admissions & Parental Communications, under the direction of the Educational Support Officer.

  • Support data management and curriculum management in the Academy.

  • Coordinate the organisation of both external and internal examinations in the secondary and primary phases.

  • Manage the examination results process and respond to correspondence from examination boards, students, staff, and parents.

  • Assist with admissions processes, including working with the Swindon Borough Council Admissions Team and managing parent enquiries.

  • Manage parent communication, handle complaints, and ensure Academy Policies are up to date and shared appropriately.


  • Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational institution.

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritisation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in using MIS systems, such as Arbour, is highly desirable.

  • A proactive and adaptable nature, with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

  • Flexibility to undertake tasks not specified in the job description as required by the organisation.

Please note that this position is a temporary-to-permanent contract, and two weeks of holiday work will be scheduled to coincide with GCE/GCSE results day.
