Monday - Thursday, 8am-4:30pm & Friday's 8am-2pm

Are you a highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Our client, a well-established manufacturing business, is seeking an Account Manager to join their dynamic team in Braintree, Essex.

As an Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.   • Liaise with external and internal customers, including end users, Technical Support, Planning/Logistics, and Sales.

  • Generating new business opportunities and upselling where appropriate.

  • Process and respond to incoming enquiries via fax, telephone, and email.

  • Submit customer open order reports to ensure accurate tracking of orders.

  • Receive and input customer orders/sample requests into the system within 24 hours.

  • Notify line management of new contracts and pricing agreements requested by Key Account Managers.

  • Review, analyse, and progress orders, and escalate any issues when necessary.

  • Participate in customer visits and provide excellent service during face-to-face interactions.

  • Assist with the administrative process of returns in accordance with the quality process.

  • Work closely with the Finance Department to manage credit, issue credit/debit notes, and resolve invoice queries.

  • Continually review business practises and processes, providing suggestions for improvement and implementing best practises.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Planning teams to develop accurate part-by-part forecasts.

  • Attend meetings and reviews as required, ensuring effective communication within the team.

  • Escalate any issues to line management when necessary.

  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and legal responsibilities.


  • Previous experience in a similar account management or sales role.

  • Strong communication skills across all mediums.

  • Good IT literacy, including MS Office, Excel, and databases.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, and written/oral communication skills.

  • High level of numeracy and attention to detail.

  • Proactive and responsive to customer requirements.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Professional and flexible approach with the ability to work under pressure.
